Prevention Awareness Support Services



POSITION TITLE: Prevention Educator-Delaware Office



BASIC FUNCTION: To support the work of the organization by facilitating evidence-based and evidence informed programs that include school-based, community-based, coalition and/or support group facilitation.



1. Become qualified to facilitate prevention programming by applying for Registered Applicant status with the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board and working toward and testing for Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist Credentials (2-year process).

2. Schedule, recruit and facilitate programs to fidelity in the service area.

3. Support PASS' mission by assisting in other program areas as needed or with other PASS efforts. 4. Work with the PASS staff as a team to expand prevention programming throughout all schools.

5. Assist in school/area events to promote PASS prevention programming.

6. Keep an organized and clean office space.

7. Any and all other duties as assigned by Executive or Associate Director.

8. This position does not require you to supervise staff or volunteers.



1. Education: Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Social Work, Education or other related field. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

2. Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively and appropriately, manage time effectively, adhere to policies and procedures, have a strong sense of ethics, recognize professional boundaries, be comfortable presenting/teaching in a classroom or group setting, be able to assist and relate to diverse populations, have strong organizational skills, be able to work independently or as a team with little supervision, be self-motivated and take pride in your work.

3. Must have a valid Ohio driver's license, current vehicle insurance and access to a privately owned vehicle during scheduled work hours.

4. Computer skills: Be familiar with using Google suite (gmail, docs, drive, slides, etc.), basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), competently use the internet and other basic computer programs.



1. Some bending, stretching required.

2. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs

3. Must be able to stand for at least 2-hours continuously.
