About the Event
In PASS's Mental Health Career Pathway Work Based Summer Learning Program, high school teens (grades 9 - 12, and recent high school grads) will earn money while learning about careers in the mental health field.
The summer program will run in two sessions this year. The program will be Monday through Thursday (week one runs Tuesday-Thursday due to the July 4th holiday) July 5th through August 4th from 9 AM to Noon or 1 PM to 4 PM each day.
This is the fourth year that Prevention Awareness Support Services has been able to offer this summer program to area students. Students can earn $20 per day to attend this five-week program that explores careers in the Mental Health fields.
Guest speakers from a variety of social work and mental health agencies give students a glimpse of what it's like to work in their professions. Depending on current COVID restrictions, students are taken on college tours and explore financial aid options. And of course, there are plenty of fun and games!
